Bricelyn Dorman’s Story
Recently, Jennifer reached out to us through our website. Her daughter Bricelyn was diagnosed with myxopapillary ependymoma in her spine in Nov 2020, underwent surgery and proton radiation. Then January 2024 with brain tumor ependymoma and now in Oct 2024 with high grade osteosarcoma in her L3 spinal vertebrae. She is finishing 10 weeks of chemotherapy and then she will have major, high risk surgery to remove the tumor and 15 more weeks of chemo.
Bricelyn was transferred from Levine Children's hospital to Duke for treatment in 2022 and the family has been traveling 2.5 hours each way. The family's copays and out of pocket are a huge challenge plus travel expenses and trying to keep their house.
The NoahStrong Foundation was able to provide Bricelyn and her mom with gift cards for gas and groceries.
