Kaleb Martinez’s Story
Kaleb Martinez is 5 years old, from New Jersey, and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in August 2024. He continues active treatment at Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital. Kaleb’s dad reached out to us in need of financial assistance. Since Kaleb’s treatment began there has been loss of income due to missed work hours to care for Kaleb.
One-third of families with a child in cancer treatment experience unmet financial challenges, often involving basic needs like food, utilities, and transportation. These hardships can arise from a combination of factors, including increased medical costs, reduced work hours or job loss, and additional travel and childcare needs.
Your generosity has allowed us to assist this family with $500 worth of gift cards for gas, groceries, and a special Lego set especially for Kaleb.
